Standing at an elevation of 7,888 feet, the location is fully encapsulated in the Kagan Valley and Naran. Eighty-two kilometers from Balakot, Naran is one valley with a stimulating cool climate, especially during summer. Lush-green mountains surrounding the place and calm weather make it an ideal getaway from the metropolitan bustles. This town is situated on the banks of the Kunhar River, the water of which is clear and tranquil, suitable for trout fishing and rafting. Naran caters to natural and recreational beauty that refreshes the heart of everyone with its tranquility and fresh air.
Lake Saif ul Muluk Naran Valley
It is almost impossible to traverse the magical beauty of Kaghan Valley without acknowledging the picturesque Lake Saiful Muluk. Located at 10,500 feet, it's one of the prettiest places on earth and mainly attracts tourist traffic in Pakistan. Embracing the lake are tall and snow-capped mountains with the center of the lake glimmering turquoise waters complementing the highest mountain in the region, the Malika Parbat which rises to 5291m. The tallest region imposing mountain, labeled the Malika Parbat is also regarded as the “Queen of the Mountains”. Of all the lakes in the region, this one has the most closeness to the people’s culture and is regarded as the home of fairies and princes according to the local tales.
Lulusar Lake Naran Valley
Less than a few hours away from Naran is the peaceful Lulusar Lake which is also one of the beautiful lakes in Kaghan Valley. The lake is at an altitude of 3,410 meters above the sea and therefore its broad clasp of dark and golden lily blossoms consisting of wild blue flowers enhance the beauty of this already picturesque lake. The round-shaped lake is calm surrounded by cloudy blue skies reflecting in the waters of the lake. Located 48 kilometers from Naran along the Naran-Babusar road, this serene lake is a perfect spot for those seeking tranquility and natural beauty.
